Normally when photographing weddings, I spend an entire day with the couple photographing each and every detail. For Jessica and Michael, I had the absolute joy of spending two days with them documenting their wedding celebrations. Prior to their intimate Sacred Heart Catholic Church wedding, I photographed their elegant wedding day at Adams Estate the day before. They continued their celebration into the next day at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa where they honored their faith and family traditions with a Catholic wedding ceremony. 

Historic Tampa Catholic Church

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is one of Tampa’s most iconic landmarks with it’s romanesque exterior architecture. This visually stunning church made of granite and marble is located in downtown Tampa. It is also one of the oldest churches in the city. Inside soaring ceilings, white and gold finishes, intricate stained glass windows, and marble altars create an atmosphere that feels both timeless and awe-inspiring. Built in 1905, the church has been lovingly maintained.

Jessica and Michael first crossed paths in St. Louis. Their journeys eventually led them to Paris, where Michael proposed in the most romantic city in the world.  Read more about their love story in their engagement blog!

Sacred Heart Tampa Catholic Wedding 

Their Catholic wedding ceremony was filled with meaning. Walking into Sacred Heart, Jessica and Michael were surrounded by family, friends, and the timeless beauty of the church itself. The beauty of the altar and the ornate details of the sanctuary highlighted this intimate moment. Every detail made this ceremony incredible and it was such a beautiful way for them to begin their married life.

Jessica radiated happiness as she walked down the aisle holding a simple white bouquet, in her classic, flowy white gown. After meeting Michael at the altar, they had a beautiful catholic wedding ceremony before exiting as husband and wife, again. Their wedding photos capture all the grandeur of the space, highlighting the breathtaking architecture both inside and out.
