I had the absolute joy of traveling to Italy this summer for a photography workshop. While I was there, I had the chance to photograph Sara and Jordan, who were on their honeymoon, in Florence, Italy. We planned a beautiful portrait session that focused on a few of the biggest highlights of the area. Sara and Jordan are practically models and their portraits were the perfect way to celebrate their honeymoon and trip to Italy. It was a gorgeous session and I’m so happy to be sharing this Florence Italy photoshoot with you today!

Florence Italy Photo Session
Sara and Jordan knew that they wanted to capture some of the unique and historic architecture found in Florence during their portraits. Because of that, we chose a few different locations to work at: Duomo di Firenze, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria. We then finished at Piazzale Michelangelo with the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen! I still can’t believe this was real. These portraits truly captured the love between Sara and Jordan, as well as the historic architecture and buildings that make Florence unique. I loved playing with the lines of all of these old buildings and looking for the perfect pockets of light to photograph the newlyweds in.

Romantic Portraits in Italy
When planning their honeymoon portrait session, we all knew that we wanted Sara and Jordan’s looks to compliment the beautiful setting. They planned simple, but chic looks for their Florence portraits. I loved Sara’s classic black dress. It was sleek and she looked amazing! Jordan couldn’t keep his eyes off of her!! He opted for a relaxed look, with a white jacket over his button up. They definitely looked like they were on a romantic trip in the city (and they were!).
