One of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding is finding your dream wedding dress! For the last few years, dramatic wedding gowns – including beautiful colored gowns, textures, and more have been rising in the fashion world. So, I want to share with you an insider look on the colorful bridal fashion that will make a statement and bring elegance to your Tampa wedding day. These colorful dresses incorporated in your wedding dress are new, exciting and whimsical!
Wedding Dress Color Palettes
Throughout the years brides have been drifting away from the classic pure white wedding gown. Although white is traditional, significant and stunning, colorful bridal fashion is just as elegant as it is invigorating. These pastel colors are perfect for a spring wedding – or just a celebration on the beach!
Colorful Bridal Fashion Color Palette
Add an extra splash of color to your Tampa wedding day with your wedding dress! There are so many directions you can go with colorful bridal fashion, but in the spring I suggest staying close to light pastels. Similarly, pink and purples are delicate and feminine, which can bring in beautiful spring tones throughout your event. But, if you want to make more of a statement you can even be as bold as a bright yellow.
Above all, to avoid appearing as just a colorful formal gown, it is suggested that you pay close attention to your silhouette and materials. A more full gown, such as a ballgown or A-line, will give you a more bridal look compared to a column or empire shape. Materials that are light, flowy and layered will add that luxurious, whimsical aesthetic!
Neutral Bridal Fashion
If you are a bride who wants to stray away from the traditional white, but are not wanting to be as bold, there are many options with neutral tones. Consider, finding an off white with a slight undertone of pink will provide a bridal look that is nontraditional and fresh! In addition, blue-ish greens can also give a more neutral feel, while allowing you to stand out with color.
Bridal Gown Details
Creating a new and unique wedding dress is so much more than the color! Above all, find ways to incorporate one of a kind details, through elements of embroidery, sequins, or different fabrics throughout your gown. As an insider in the wedding industry I can tell you that there are some amazing new trends that are coming to your bridal boutique! Throughout the planning process, think outside of the “bridal fashion box” with these fun and classy bridal gown details.
For instance, this upcoming spring we will see many new and beautiful details in wedding gowns! One of my favorites is boning in the bodice of the gown. Boning is a technique used in garment design and production that allows the integrity of the garment’s shape to stay in tact. Being especially helpful in strapless gowns. Therefore, boning paired with shear fabric allows for the this structural detail to be seen and admired as a stunning detail.
Next, pearl details in wedding fashion are unique, timeless and so trendy. Just as you have seen wedding gowns with rhinestone and sparkled details scattered throughout a wedding dress, pearls are the new kid on the block. Pearls will be used in a new way to add texture and interest to bridal fashion. Nevertheless, this is a detail that will pop against the colorful bridal fashion and really add a magical element to your wedding day!
One of the best ways to add amazing volume and texture to a wedding dress is to incorporate ruffles. Tulle is one of the best materials to use with this technique. This is because of the light, fairytale feel that comes with the delicate fabric as it is layered at different lengths. It also adds an amazing amount of movement, which will show through in your wedding photos!
Nevertheless, reimagine what your dream wedding dress can be with pops of colorful spring bridal fashion. Traditional white wedding dresses are gorgeous, don’t get me wrong. However, a wedding dress does not need to be white anymore. There are so many colorful, elegant options for the modern bride. In other words, with colorful bridal fashion you can be sure to make a statement and feel like royalty! For more tips and insider looks, request my Ultimate Bride Guide!
