The Tampa Edition Baptism

I had the honor of capturing Baby M’s The Tampa Edition Baptism. This day was a beautiful reflection of faith and family, captured in a setting that perfectly complements refined, intentional gatherings. 

Baby M’s baptism was held in the Syriac Orthodox tradition, a ceremony rich in symbolism and spiritual significance. At its heart, this sacrament represents initiation into the Christian faith, marked by blessings, anointing with holy oil, and baptismal water, with each element symbolizing purification, protection, and new life or a “second birth”. The ceremony itself was meaningful and intimate. It was a privilege to document such a meaningful milestone for Baby M and their family.

The celebration included many meaningful cultural traditions, including traditional dances that brought energy and connection to the room. One of the most memorable moments was the “spraying money” tradition. This is where guests showered Baby M with blessings in the form of money, a gesture symbolizing prosperity and good fortune.
