Disney Princess Wedding Inspiration
If you were a little girl glued to the screen watching Jasmine fly on a magic carpet, or Ariel talk to her trusted crustaceous friend, or Rapunzel break free from her “mother’s” curse, then you’re the perfect candidate for a Disney wedding inspiration photoshoot. Everyone deserves a fairytale ending, and a Disney princess wedding can provide a magical, romantic day.
Don’t worry though, you don’t have to go full-blown fanatic. There are subtle ways to tie in the magic you love about your favorite Disney movies into your wedding day without going over the top, or being too cliché. Here is a Disney wedding inspiration designed by Florist, Jessica Faiella that I photographed and will surely make you swoon over the whimsical details.
Aladdin Themed Wedding
🎶 “Let me share this whole new world with you…” 🎶
It wouldn’t be an Aladdin themed wedding without some Mediterranean flare. Vibrant and warm colors immediately capture your attention.
The flat lay included a beautiful gem that was the perfect shade of aqua to resemble the color of the outfit Jasmine wore when she rode on the magic carpet with Aladdin.
On the reception table, there were intricate details like the magic lamp – unfortunately no Genie included, a beaded candle-holder, beautiful gold sparkling plates paired with deep pink napkins and blue plates.
The color palette of this wedding inspiration was magical. The orange, pink, and purple bouquet and floral arrangements popped against the bride’s ornate sparkling bridal gown.
The sweetheart table was definitely the center of attention with the stunning orange, gold, and coral draperies around the table. It looked super cozy with pillows on the ground where you could sit, relax, and enjoy your reception. It will transport you to the mythical land of Agrabah.
Aladdin and Jasmine’s journey was one of determination and patience. Having a wedding celebration with exquisite food, decorations, and flowers is exactly what they would have done as they’re celebrating the end of one journey and the beginning of another.
Tangled Themed Wedding
“BEST. DAY. EVER” -Rapunzel
Romantic, soft, and sweet is exactly what describes this Rapunzel wedding inspiration. If you want to have the best day ever like she did in the movie, you can incorporate touches of her day into yours.
Starting with the bouquet, it’s made of beautiful pastel shades of purple, yellow, and white. These colors are present throughout the movie, specifically her dress.
There’s no better nod to Rapunzel than to have a long, cascading braid complete with flowers. The flowers in your hair make for a picture-perfect accessory that will make you feel like you belong in a fairytale movie yourself. There were also matching flowers arranged on the cake to represent Rapunzel’s hair.
A stand-out detail from this shoot was the Rapunzel wedding dress. It had a beautiful floral design, tons of tulle, and was flowy and effortless. The tulle that acted like a cape and made for great, intimate poses between the models.
All the greenery that surrounded the natural wood table made you feel like you were in an enchanted forest. The table settings with traditional candlestick holders and short-stemmed cups made you feel like you traveled back in time. The sun cookies on the plates mimicked Rapunzel’s family crest.
The Little Mermaid Themed Wedding
“You’re the one that I’ve been looking for.” -Eric
Whether you’ve experienced love at first sight like Eric and Ariel, or simply enjoy watching the underwater fairytale, having a day inspired by their love will surely make you feel special.
Starting with the wedding invitations, there are touches of the ocean with beautiful blue tones and seashells.
The table is set outside in front of water, of course. The white table and chairs truly let the details of the flowers and plating shine. The flowers incorporated lovely palm leaves, along with extremely bright blue, green, and purples.
Iridescent silverware set beside the plates resembled the colors in a mermaid’s tail, along with an actual mermaid tale ring to hold the napkins.
Could a Little Mermaid themed wedding be complete without a dinglehopper? Of course not! A fork sticking out of the cake pops made for the perfect grab-and-go dessert.
The bride model of course had red hair like Ariel, which looked absolutely stunning against her white mermaid silhouette wedding dress. Even if you don’t have red hair, keeping most things clean and white will make you and your details pop.
