The Amalfi Coast in Italy is one of the most beautiful and romantic spots in the world. With the incredible cliff sides, teal water, and a town that looks like it’s from a fairy tale, it was the perfect location for a styled elopement! This beautiful featured friends of mine and real life couple, Michelle and James. Intimate travel elopements are wildly popular with couples who love to see the world and want something unique for their wedding celebration. When we began dreaming up this Positano wedding elopement inspiration, our creative team ran with the idea of a romantic summer celebration on the Italian Coast. Classic Wedding Attire in Italy

Our bride, Michelle, and groom, James, celebrated their elopement on a private boat floating along the coastline. Michelle wore an off-the-shoulder fitted mermaid gown with a beautiful lace overlay. With a corset bodice and long train, it was a stunning option for this intimate and stylish elopement in Italy. The long train was one of my favorite parts of the dress to photograph because it looked amazing on the sand. James wore a classic white tux with black lapels and details that popped against the tan buildings on the cliffs of the coastline. Both of them looked absolutely stunning and chic for their Italian elopement along the Amalfi coast. 

Romantic Amalfi Coast Elopement Portraits

For an elevated elopement experience, we also had a sunset cruise for the couple to enjoy the view, the wind, and the shimmering sunlight on the surface of the water. After spending some time sailing around the coast, Michelle and James headed back to Positano Beach for their final portraits of the night. Michelle carried her all-white bouquet with roses, smiling among the bright blue and white umbrellas. It was fun to play up the summer elements of the coast including the stunning sunset and the warm beach! James joined her as they strolled down the line of umbrellas back towards the hotel. As the sun set over the newlyweds, it was the perfect end to this romantic and stylish Positano elopement.
