Congratulations to Alexandra and Mike! They’re planning a gorgeous wedding day and to celebrate, we met at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art to capture their engagement session. Alexandra and Mike are super funny and really cool people. I had a wonderful time with them during their Sarasota engagement portraits. Mike works in IT and Alexandra’s an artist, so they truly balance each other out.

Their Love Story

Alexandra and Mike met on Bumble a few years ago before COVID. Their relationship slowly grew aas they got to know each other. It’s sweet to hear how much they worked on building a strong foundation together! Before the pandemic, Mike moved in with Alexandra and then they wound up being quarantined together which only went to make their relationship stronger! During a nice dinner together, Mike proposed with a unique ring. Her ring has her mother’s diamond and Alexandra’s birthstone, a sapphire. It’s absolutely gorgeous and it was special to hear how he planned it for her.

Sarasota Engagement Portraits

For Alexandra and Mike’s engagement portraits, we knew that they wanted a unique location. We decided on the beautiful Ringling Museum here in Sarasota, FL. This gorgeous location was built by one of the Ringling brothers for his wife, who loved Italy, art, and Sarasota Florida. The architecture here is stunning and I loved getting to explore it all with Alexandra and Mike! I loved the pink walls – especially against Alexandra’s gorgeous teal dress.
