Congratulations, Sydney and Jeremy! The newlyweds came from Texas to have their Siesta Key beach wedding here in Florida, and it was absolutely beautiful. With a reception at the wonderful Cafe Gabbiano to close out the night, their entire day had that beachy Florida vibe – with lots of special moments at a place that means so much to them already. I’m so happy I was able to capture their incredible beach wedding day!

Their Love Story
Sydney and Jeremy are originally from Dallas Texas. They attended college together, first meeting in an 8am class they both had. Despite that early morning class, they weren’t too close during college. Instead, they reconnected years later through another dating app. It turned out that Sydney always thought Jeremy was cute but was too intimidated to talk to him. Obviously, things worked out in the end!
During a trip to Siesta Key Beach, Jeremy proposed. The beach is somewhere Sydney’s family had always gone on vacation and he had his grandmother’s ring, so it turned out to be a beautiful surprise. They had been on a walk together and Sydney FaceTimed her mom to show her the beach. As soon as Sydney got her mom on the phone, Jeremy said “I promised my mom the first phone call!” and then dropped to one knee. Sydney was so confused at first! While they had discussed a future, Sydney was NOT at all expecting the proposal, which made it even better. Once they began to plan their wedding, hosting the day at Siesta Key Beach was a no brainer.

Beach Wedding in Florida with Blue and White Details
When Sydney and Jeremy began to plan their beach wedding, they knew they wanted to keep things small and intimate. They settled on a small group of 70 people, their closest friends and family. Their ceremony took place right on Siesta Key Beach, not far from where Jeremy proposed. How special is that?! Sydney and Jeremy chose a bright and fun color palette of blue and white, leaning into the colors the beach naturally provides. I personally think it was a beautiful choice – and so fun!

Florida Beach Wedding Portraits
Sydney and Jeremy were all smiles the day of their wedding (rightfully so!). After their ceremony, I stole them away for some portraits on the beach. If you’re tying the knot on the beach, be prepared to fight with the wind for your portraits. It often works in our favor, creating movement in bride’s hair and gowns, like Sydney’s. Beach wedding portraits can be so romantic if you’re patient and work with your Florida wedding photographer! Trust us, we’re used to those ocean winds!

Congratulations again, Sydney and Jeremy. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness – and many more beach trips together. Thank you for asking me to be a part of your incredible celebration!
I love getting to capture these special moments so that you can remember your wedding day for the rest of your life! For me, your wedding day is so much more than just a day.
You deserve a wedding photographer who is invested in you and capturing every moment! Reach out and let’s connect to book your wedding day here in Florida (or around the world)!
