The Orlo House is a highly sought after wedding venue in Tampa Florida, and it is no surprise why! This elegant house plays as a blank canvas for any wedding style you may image. Even the most groovy of wedding decor can work in their stunning ballrooms. I recently photographed this retro inspired wedding at the Orlo was funky, classy and inspiring!

Bold Colors for the Orlo Wedding

The most inspiring element of this wedding inspiration is the vibrant colors. From the chairs to the florals, everything is loud in color, just like the 70s! Standing out against the bright white walls and simple decor of The Orlo House, yet still sophisticated and enchanting. I especially love the variety in colors in this palette.

When choosing your wedding day color palette you want to keep it simple and true to your style! Although you can find basically every color of the rainbow in this wedding decor, the overall theme is simple. They chose one color, blue, to be the base. Then added small pops of different colors throughout. What really brings it all together is the similar vibrancy in each individual color.

Retro Inspired Wedding Cakes

The wedding cakes were both very different, but true to the retro era! The burnt orange and blue cake was funky and lively! The sharp lines and the bold diamond pattern made The Orlo wedding inspiration bold and unique. The white floral cake was more subtle with smaller nod to the 70s inspired wedding. Both were incredible and fun twists on traditional wedding cakes.

 Tap Truck for Wedding Receptions

A TapTruck is a super fun way to entertain and hydrate your guests. These companies usually will let you fill the taps with any drink you want, making it completely customizable! And did I mention how perfectly it was decorated!? The TapTruck really invited the retro wedding theme into reception space. But what put it over the top was the decor surrounding it! The plating at the drinks table and the TapTruck was elegant and bright. Ornate pink glasses and vibrant florals were simple yet bold to bring more excitement to the space.

Retro Wedding Dresses

The variety of wedding dresses was amazing! Each one had a small tie back to the 70s inspiration, but with a very modern take. I loved how there was such great diversity in material that the dresses were made from. The Orlo wedding inspiration mixed it up with lace, feathers and tulle. But on top of that, the gown’s colors and styles were unique as well. With a pastel pink gown with bold sleeves, and a women’s pants suit with an attached cape, this 70s inspiration was striking!

My favorite of all the looks was the dress with floral lace and feathers. It was perfectly paired with a homemade golden crown and pop of bright blue eyeshadow. Making the entire ensemble look as if it just popped off an edition of 1970s Vogue!

The Orlo wedidng inspiration was funky, fun, and expressive! I adored the daring color choices and the overall cheery vibe.
