Our Ultimate Wedding guide

Everything you need to know for every aspect of wedding planning!

Planning your wedding is a time-consuming job. Many couples report it can feel like a part-time job. You have to find the perfect vendors and communicate. Couples have to explain their vision over and over again. Don’t forget sourcing everything you need – linens, drinks, attire…. It’s a lot to handle on your own. Hiring a wedding planner can help you have the wedding of your dreams – without all of the extra stress! I’m sharing 5 reasons to hire a wedding planner for your luxury wedding day. While there’s costs associated with a wedding planner, I truly believe they’re worth it to help you plan a stress-free wedding day!

#1: Wedding planners provide their expertise.

Wedding planners have coordinated wedding days before. Oftentimes, they’ve coordinated and planned many weddings – so their expertise is going to serve you well. They know what schedule to be on and how to create your dream luxury wedding day on your budget. Plus, they will do it all in a way that provides you with extra support and way less stress. Like all of your vendors, you’ll benefit from their experience. Wedding planners will save you time, money, and energy plus help you avoid costly mistakes. If the idea of planning your own wedding feels overwhelming, look for someone with experience and let them help you!

#2: Wedding planners mean extra support.

Whether you’re planning a destination wedding from afar or are just busy, there’s no shame in needing and wanting extra help planning your wedding day! That’s where a wedding planner comes in. They’ll manage your to-do list, all while helping to bring your vision to life. Plus, on the actual days leading up to the wedding, they’ll be handling your list of last minute tasks so you can focus on celebrating with your friends and family. On the day of the wedding, no more asking Aunt Sally to handle 34 tasks either! Your wedding planner will make sure the flowers arrived on time and the centerpieces are how you wanted them. Everyone, including you, gets to enjoy your big day!

#3: Wedding planners help you stay on budget and schedule.

Throughout the planning process, your wedding planner provides an extra set of eyes to monitor your spending and schedule. There’s so much to do throughout the months leading up to your wedding day – and a planner will ensure everything is done and within budget. Not only will a wedding planner track your spending, they’ll also know where you can negotiate, cut costs, and find deals. Experienced wedding planners will help you navigate all of the questions – like which linens to use or what kind of alcohol to buy – in a way that’s budget-friendly and still full of the glam you’re hoping for!

#4: Wedding planners will understand your vision and bring it to life.

The reality is that most couples aren’t designers or wedding planners. While they might have a gorgeous vision for their wedding day, executing it is a whole other story. That’s where a wedding planner comes in. They’ll help you take all of your inspiration and pull together a wedding day that’s unique and totally you! Wedding planners can also help you navigate all of the sticky situations that arise during planning (like who’s paying for what – or whether or not Uncle Bob is invited) so that you can plan your dream wedding without the stress of wondering how to make it happen.

#5 Wedding planners know who to work with.

One of the most important parts of working with a wedding planner is leaning on them to choose your dream wedding vendors. Your planner will know many vendors in the area and be able to help you select the best team. Again, whether you’re local or not, your planner will ensure you have a stellar group of people bringing your wedding day to life. They’ll save you time – you don’t have to source anyone (or anything!) and communication is often managed by your planner, too.

As a Tampa wedding photographer, I work with local planners all of the time to create a stress-free experience for my couples. Together, we work on your timeline to ensure all of your photography needs are met in a way that doesn’t take away from your wedding. I also communicate regularly with them leading up to the wedding day. All of this happens so that you can enjoy a stress-free experience and know that you’re being taken care of! We all want you to have your dream wedding!

While a wedding planner (or coordinator) isn’t something every couple wants or needs, I truly think it can help couples have a stress-free wedding day. Wedding planners are here to help you create your day – on budget, on schedule, and with as little work from you as possible!
