Dana and Anthony are getting married! We celebrated their upcoming wedding day with their Arabia Mountain engagement session. It was a beautiful day and we had the chance to explore such a gorgeous spot together as they told me all about their wedding day plans! Dana and Anthony are both such fun people – and I loved every minute with them both. I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite moments from this Arabia Mountain engagement session!

Their Love Story 

Dana and Anthony met in college through mutual friends, but didn’t really begin to hang out until their later years (he was a senior, she a junior!). They found out they have a lot of the same interests – sports, board games, even video games! Over one of their winter breaks, they realized that they liked each other more than friends. And, while Dana gave Anthony a hard time since he refused to let her pay for meals or anything while they were hanging out. It’s funny looking back on it now! Their relationship always felt very natural and evolved organically, giving them an incredible foundation for their marriage.

At Home Holiday Proposal 

6 years later, Anthony proposed in December of 2020. Dana loves BTS, so Anthony had been planning to propose at one of their concerts. But, COVID had other plans. The concert got canceled and he began to plan another option at the beach. HIs family wound up talking him out of hiding the ring in the sand, and began to think of something else. As Christmas rolled around, he thought of having them dress up for a Christmas photo and proposing then. Apparently, Dana is pretty in tune with him and he was getting nervous he wouldn’t be able to keep the secret from her! 

He wound up hanging the mermaid pendant he had gotten from the beach proposal on the tree and Dana saw it (in sweatpants, with her hair messy, and totally not dressed up like he’d planned!), but Anthony went for it. While she was looking at the pendant, he got down on one knee and surprised her. Obviously, she wound up saying yes through the tears and now they’re planning their January 2023 wedding day! Their wedding will actually be on their 8th anniversary, which they’re excited about! 8 is a very lucky number in their cultures, and it will be so meaningful to be married that day. 

Moutaintop Engagement Session

For Dana and Anthony’s engagement portraits, we decided to visit Arabia Mountain in Atlanta. This spot is absolutely gorgeous for their photos! We had a stunning view of the mountain Dana wore a beautiful white dress and Anthony had a blue jacket on. Their outfits were a great reminder that no matter where you plan your session, you should absolutely wear something you love for your portraits! I loved the elegant look on the top of the mountain.
