Marcey and Richard are married! They planned a beautiful waterfront wedding at the Hyatt Clearwater Beach here in Florida. The entire day was simply perfect – full of lots of emotional moments honoring their families and gorgeous bright colors along the water. I’m so pleased to be sharing Macey and Richard’s wedding with you today! I loved being with them – they’re such wonderful people. 

Their Love Story

A little over 8 years ago, Marcey and Richard met doing homeless church ministry. One evening, Richard asked Marcey to go to dinner and they’ve been inseparable ever since! Marcey and Richard began to talk about their future, but weren’t sure marriage was the right thing for them in that moment. Richard still went to talk to her dad and asked for his blessing for their engagement… and he purchased a ring. But, since Marcey handles the finances, she saw the charge and asked him about it. He tried not to tell her, but she kept asking.. So he finally told her he was ready for her to be his wife. In the fall of 2022, Marcey and Richard became engaged! He had been planning a proposal in Hawaii in May of this year and they also wanted a Hawaiian wedding. Since the logistics didn’t quite work out, they planned a gorgeous tropical inspired wedding day here in Clearwater! It turned out to be absolutely beautiful in the end. 

Waterfront Ceremony at the Hyatt Clearwater 

Marcey and Richard brought the tropical vibes to their wedding day. From the fun flowers Marcey had with her details to their gorgeous ceremony on the patio, it felt like were on an island. They chose a waterfront ceremony and brought greenery to decorate the patio with, along with their gold and white details including a sand ceremony. Out in the Florida air, Marcey and Richard said “I do”. During the ceremony, they chose a few ways to honor their family and friends including prayers, communion, and their sand ceremony. Since Marcey’s father passed away, they also reserved a chair in his honor and had a small tribute to him. It was so moving!

After their ceremony and portraits (including their pups!), we headed into the ballroom at the Hyatt Clearwater. With lots of greenery and floating candles, their ceremony inspiration was echoed in the room. Marcey and Richard enjoyed a night celebrating with their loved ones. I loved seeing all of their talented family members perform! Marcey’s brother and nephew sang a special song for them. It was such a great evening!! 

Congratulations again, Marcey and Richard. I’m so happy for you and thrilled that you found each other. I know you will continue to have a life full of love – for yourselves and those you care about, too. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration!
