Their Love Story

This couple is such a blast! Their love and commitment for one another is so obvious, and left me in awe. They are a younger couple just starting out in life. Both are extremely ambitious and work so hard to make their dreams come true! They recently bought a home in Ybor and are in love with the area, which inspired this Ybor City engagement session, I love capturing couples like Gabby and Nick because it truly serves as a time for them to relax and just enjoy the moment!

Ybor City Engagement Session

Ybor City is a darling town on Florida’s west coast, originally founded in the late 1800s. It is full of small town charm, thriving small businesses and so many stunning buildings. The rich history of Ybor City points mainly to the Spanish and Italian immigrants that relocated to the area for work in the cigar factories, which contributes largely to the architectural style of the city.

The economy dipped, and a rebirth of the area caused a variety of businesses, people and ideas to appear! Today you will find museums showcasing Ybor City’s history, vibrant night clubs and many local events. It is clear to see why Gabby and Nick quickly fell in love with such a gorgeous and lively town! And I am so glad that I got to capture their love in such a beautifully timeless place.

Ybor City Engagement Session Outfits

What you chose to wear to your engagement session can make a big difference in how your photos turn out! How you feel in your clothes will shine through in the final images. A few rules to guide you is to always wear something that is comfortable, not too tight, not too loose. Wear an outfit that compliments your shape, as well as fits your style. When taking photos you want to feel confident to achieve the most natural and sincere images.

Gabby and Nick’s style as young professionals really shows through in their Ybor City engagement session. I loved how they they chose classic pieces that will stand the test of time! Nick’s suit gave him a clean cut look, and because he didn’t wear a tie with it he still looked relaxed. It was the perfect look to compliment Gabby’s stunning red dress. Together they looked so well put together and very coordinated.

Spontaneous Engagement Portraits

I love to have a spontaneous moment! While we were wrapping up our session Gabby suggested that we all stop for pizza at this local place. And of course I had to make this every day moment a photo opp.! Gabby sat on Nick’s lap as they ate pizza and laughed. It was so much fun to be able to capture them in a more candid experience with so much personality.

I always advice my brides to personalize their engagement sessions. Find what you love to do most together and bring it to your engagement session. If you love to feed to ducks by a pond, or play cards on the couch.
