Xuan and Anthony are getting married! After dating for 2.5 years, Xuan and Anthony are engaged and planning their dream wedding day. We met up to celebrate their gorgeous St. Pete Beach engagement session. St. Pete is one of my favorite places to have engagement sessions because of the sunset on the beach – and the gorgeous architecture in the city. It feels so fun and playful, which always helps my couples feel relaxed and excited for their sessions! I can’t wait for you to see Xuan and Anthony’s portraits!! 

Their Love Story

Xuan is a dermatology PA and back in 2018, a patient was trying to set her up with her son. Xuan brushed her off, but two years later, she ran into Anthony at Forbici. Turns out, he was the patient’s son! It was always meant to be… even if Xuan didn’t recognize him at first, ha! From the start, both of them knew they were already pretty serious about each other, and it didn’t take long for them to fall in love. 

A Holiday Proposal

Anthony proposed two days before Thanksgiving in 2022. Xuan was NOT expecting it – instead she thought he’d be proposing on New Year’s Eve. She got home from work that day in her scrubs and realized someone was cooking. There were scallops and some other fancy dishes and she knew immediately it wasn’t Anthony (he can’t cook!). As she walked into the house, she realized there were roses everywhere with candles. He was waiting to propose to her in their bedroom, which was so special! 

St. Pete Beach Engagement Session

Xuan and Anthony met me at St. Pete Beach for their portraits. We started up near the the Don CeSar because I just LOVE the colors there. Xuan wore a stunning off-the-shoulder white gown that was so chic and she even brought a small bouquet of flowers. Anthony had a great blue suit on and they looked amazing together. I’m so happy Xuan brought flowers – I think props can be really fun to bring some extra flair to your engagement portraits.

Before changing into the second outfit, we wandered down to the sand to capture the start of the beautiful sunset that night! The rest of their session felt so beachy – from Anthony’s white linen shirt to the champagne they enjoyed as the sun set lower into the sky. Xuan and Anthony laughed, dances, and played on the beach together. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful beach session!
