Congratulations to Maggie and Faniel! The newlyweds planned a beautiful outdoor travel-inspired wedding day at Casa Lantana. With both an outdoor ceremony and reception, Maggie and Faniel’s day was a dream!
We lucked out with a great day in Brandon, FL for their Casa Lantana wedding celebration. One thing I really loved about their celebration was all of the travel details they included, from a fun “suitcase” inspired wedding cake to their centerpieces. They chose a really fun theme – and I know everyone enjoyed the celebration!
Romantic Florida Wedding Color Palette at Casa Lantana
Maggie and Faniel chose a bold color palette with burgundy, navy, and gold. Faniel wore a stunning red jacket that I’m still obsessed with. It was a great way to bring the color palette to life for their outdoor event – and he looked amazing! Maggie’s bridesmaids also wore red gowns and the groomsmen wore navy suits, which popped against the greenery around Casa Lantana.
Each of their tables at the reception had burgundy or navy as well as gold details, tying into their travel theme, too. I loved their tall centerpieces with dark red and pastel pink roses, to bring their palette to life!
Emotional First Touch and Ceremony
Maggie and Faniel chose to do a first touch on their wedding day, instead of a first look. First touches are always so sweet, and theirs was very emotional. They chose to read their vows to each other while they held hands around one of the columns at Casa Lantana. It was the perfect way for them to connect, but save their big reveal for the ceremony! Every one of us was crying as they read their letters.
The emotions didn’t stop there though. Unfortunately, Faniel’s mom passed just weeks before the wedding, so Maggie and Faniel added in some special touches to honor her throughout the day. During the reception, they chose to light a candle for her and saved a seat at the ceremony for her, too. Faniel and each of his groomsmen placed roses for her at the seat. It was so sweet and touching to watch them honor her. That’s what wedding days are all about: unconditional love.
Maggie & Faniel
Maggie and Faniel’s love story is so beautiful. They met while Faniel was visiting Tampa to become a worship leader. He stayed at one of Maggie’s sorority sister’s places. While he was visiting, her sorority sister mentioned Maggie to him and passed along her number. She later talked to Maggie about Faniel, thinking they’d be a great fit for each other because they’re a lot alike. After Maggie and Faniel met, they began dating and he eventually moved to Tampa full time to be closer to her!
In 2019, Faniel proposed in their apartment before they had the chance to celebrate with family and friends… and now, they’ve had the chance to do so again as husband and wife! It was so good to see them both again (after their engagement portraits!)and watch them be married!
Congratulations, Maggie and Faniel! You’re both amazing and I’m so happy for you. I wish you both a beautiful and happy life together – and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
