Congratulations, Shelly and Todd! I had the pleasure of spending part of my Valentine’s Day with the newlyweds this year as they tied the knot in an intimate Downtown Tampa wedding at the courthouse. Their love story reminds me of a movie plot in the best ways, it’s truly beautiful. This was the perfect way for them to start the newest chapter of their lives together. 

An Intimate Courthouse Wedding

Keeping things simple and sweet, Shelly and Todd planned an intimate courthouse wedding. After their ceremony was over, we captured portraits of them and their loved ones at the courthouse. I absolutely loved the marble of the building – it was the perfect neutral backdrop for their first portraits as husband and wife! 

Le Meridien Hotel and Davis Island Newlywed Portraits 

Once we said goodbye to their family and friends, I took Shelly and Todd to some of my favorite spots in Downtown Tampa for more portraits. They changed from their wedding outfits into something even more chic! Shelly wore a gorgeous black dress with bright red shoes (oh my gosh!) and grabbed a red and pink bouquet for valentine’s day. Todd stepped out in a white tux jacket. They both looked amazing!! We had a wonderful time exploring the architecture of Le Meridien Hotel and Davis Island for their “just married” portraits!

The newlyweds have known each other since they were in first grade! As they grew, they lost touch and their lives went in different ways. But, they reconnected in January 2021. Shelly told me it was like they were high schoolers again! They began to text and talk, and after about a month, they were officially dating.

It didn’t take long for them to realize they were meant for each other. I’m so excited I was able to witness the start of their new chapter together here in Florida during their Downtown Tampa wedding! 

Congratulations again, Shelly and Todd! I wish you both a lifetime of love together. It’s abundantly clear that you both belong together and I’m so happy you found each other again!!
