Let me tell you about the amazing Big Fake Wedding in Tybee Island, Savannah, GA.
The Big Fake Wedding? What is that?
If you haven’t heard about the Big Fake Wedding, it’s a bridal show alternative where they put together a Big fake wedding (that looks totally real and dreamy btw) with an actual already married couple. They go from city to city doing these Big fake weddings which allows bride to see the vendors in action and have an unforgettable and fun experience in the process. So basically, it makes wedding planning fun!! Score!
So how did I become a part of this awesome event?
It’s all thanks to my sweet fiancée Chris, he came across the Big Fake Wedding, thought it’d be great for me to be part of it and really encouraged me to do it. I checked them out and immediately loved the concept so I applied to become a vendor.
I was also super excited to visit Savannah again! Chris and I visited Savannah before and fell in love with the city’s antebellum architecture and edgy southern vibe so it was kind of a no brainer. We love River Street!! But let’s focus, I’ll share all about my exploring time in a little below…
The Theme
The theme for the Big Fake Wedding in Tybee Island, Savannah GA was Spanish Elegance and we brought it to life beautifully! Fuchsia and Bougainvillea were the main colors, the event was bold, modern and very Spanish!
The venue for this event was Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, it’s a super gorgeous wedding chapel with a grand ballroom and a patio. Their beautiful chandeliers, their perfect mix of nature and architecture, and the diversity of the venue make this the ideal location for any wedding. And did I mention it’s really close to the beach too? HEART EYES!!
The Big Fake Wedding in Tybee Island consisted of a gorgeous ceremony with the vendors and brides visiting, Spanish guitar tunes made for the perfect background music during the ceremony and real married couple Taylor & William got to relive this special moment again! They’re the sweetest!
After the ceremony, we started the reception, the atmosphere was so pumped and fun! Sometimes I wonder if it was really a fake wedding! And to finish off strong, a grand sparklers exit!
I enjoyed the entire event, the fellow vendors were all so sweet and easy to work with. And I had the best time getting to meet all the awesome brides that visited.
I really loved seeing so much talent at this event! So many skilled vendors, they went all out! Everything was so detailed and in line with the theme. The Frida Kahlo look for the bride, the cake, the venue, all the color but I can show you better than I can explain, just look through these photos, I promise you’ll be gushing in no time!

Exploring Savannah
As I mentioned earlier, this was my second time in Savannah. The first time I visited was on my way to Talullah Falls. We made a quick stop for only a few hours but that was long enough for me to fall in love with Savannah.
Paige from Paige Laurel Photography, was so sweet to give me some awesome spots to explore in Savannah. I mean a local knows best right! One of my favorite spots that she recommended was The Paris Market (link here). It’s this super cute café/home décor shop with a gorgeous vintage vibe!
I had the best time exploring Savannah. It is such a charming city full of history. Did you know that Forrest Grump scenes were filmed there? Savannah also reminded of my time in Italy because of its European vibe. This definitely isn’t my last visit in Savannah!
