I’m so excited to be sharing Sara and Jordan’s gorgeous lifestyle anniversary portraits at their St. Pete FL home with you today! Sara and Jordan reached out to me to capture photos to celebrate their first anniversary and I was absolutely thrilled to hear from them. I photographed their Florence Italy honeymoon portraits a year ago, and it was so special to see them both. We discussed the idea of a lifestyle session at their home and I was hooked. I think they’re so much fun and always a great way to spend an afternoon, so we started planning. Now, I can’t wait to share them with you!
Why Lifestyle Portraits?
As a Tampa wedding photographer, I’ve photographed engagement sessions and anniversary portraits in a variety of locations. But, lifestyle engagement portraits and lifestyle anniversary photos in my couple’s homes might just be one of my favorite things to do. Lifestyle sessions are relaxed and truly about showing off what makes your day-to-day life together so special. I want to capture my couples doing what they love – hanging out, playing games, taking walks – seriously, all of it is perfect. Lifestyle portraits are definitely more documentary style and meant to capture your personalities in an easy way.
St. Pete Anniversary Portraits
I LOVE that Sara and Jordan reached about their lifestyle anniversary portraits. It’s so special to see my couples after their wedding day – especially for a session like this. We had a great time catching up since the last time I saw them was for their honeymoon portraits in Florence, Italy. I loved hearing about their day-to-day life and helping them capture some of those everyday moments in their lifestyle portraits.
Lifestyle sessions are all about capturing the little moments of your day. For Sara and Jordan, that looked like Sara’s Colombian arepas and Colombian Cafecito. It also meant getting cozy while snuggling up with their cats for breakfast in bed afterwards. We also spent some time in their beautiful St. Pete neighborhood, taking a walk. Nothing is too mundane or ordinary to capture during a lifestyle session.
Relieve Your Wedding Day with Your Wedding Album
One of my favorites was definitely when they sat down to look at their wedding album. Watching my couple flip through their wedding album was a bit surreal, but it reminded me just how important wedding albums are. It’s a beautiful tangible reminder of your wedding day and looking through those memories together can be a wonderful way to relieve your favorite moments. Wedding days go by so quickly. I always believe my couples should have a beautiful way to remember their celebration (and pass it on over the years!).
Sara and Jordan, here’s to many more years of happiness. Thank you for asking me to capture you in your beautiful St. Pete FL home. It was super special to see you both again, and I’m honored that you thought of me as you planned your anniversary celebration!
I love getting to capture these special moments so that you can remember your wedding day (or anniversary!) for the rest of your life! For me, these memories are about so much more than just a day or just a celebration.
You deserve a photographer who is invested in you and capturing every moment! Reach out and let’s connect to book your destination wedding day!
