A few years ago, I embarked on a very exciting journey to study abroad in Florence, Italy. It was a life-changing experience that led me to completely fall in love with the Italian culture – The enchanting nature, the jaw-dropping architecture, the relaxed way of life and of course the incredibly delicious cuisine! I wanted to capture a little of this Italian charm which inspired me to put together this Italian Romance Wedding Styled Shoot at Casa Feliz in Winter Park, Florida.

Central Florida Wedding Vendors
I was lucky to work with an amazing group of local wedding vendors that refined and brought the vision to life.
The Venue: Casa Feliz Wedding Venue
Located in the heart of Winter Park, Florida, Casa Feliz Venue is a historic home museum designed by James Gamble Rogers II in 1932 and it’s been a staple in the area ever since.
The home’s mission revival architectural style served as the perfect location for this Italian Romance Wedding Inspiration shoot. The beautiful brick arches, the columns and the colorful windows all brought out the Italian look we were aiming for!
The Florist: Fern & Curl Designs
Fern & Curl designs is a wedding and event floral designer in Spacecoast, Florida. The owner, Afton, is a tiny, tattooed, traveling florist whose rad personality is reflected in the most unique floral arrangements.
For this Casa Feliz wedding inspiration shoot, Afton created a bouquet including white astible, juliet garden rose, white spray rose, purple freesia, white ranunculus, Italian ruscus, purple alstroemeria and lavender of course! A minimalist boutonniere made of succulent plants and lavender and garlands to embellish the reception table & decor. It’s an understatement to say that Afton absolutely nailed it and brought the vision to life perfectly!
Event Rentals: RW Style
RW Style is a design and boutique rentals company in Central Florida. They have curated a beautiful collection that includes vintage finds and everyday rentals like banquet tables, lush soft furnishings, Chiavari chairs and everything you might need to style your wedding.
The décor for this styled Casa Feliz venue wedding incorporated both classic and modern details to represent the millennial bride. The aubergine seating furniture with its luxurious plum fabric and curved legs was a showstopper! The sweetheart wooden table was simple yet gorgeous, the colored candles and gold flatware went together beautifully. Italy is known for its wine so we used wine corks for the place cards and a wine barrel for the cake. And we added a special touch, an acoustic guitar to represent the musician couples.
The Bridal Gown: The Dressing Room
The Dressing Room is a bridal boutique with locations in Celebration, St. Petersburg and Pawleys Island, Florida. They pride themselves in offering every bride a premium wedding dress shopping experience and providing a varied collection of wedding dresses from designers like Justin Alexander, Maggie Sotero, Eddy K., Stella York, Lillian West, Essence of Australia and more.
For this styled Casa Feliz wedding, our Bride wore a dress by Eddy K Italia. The dress was a jaw-dropping mermaid style champagne dress embellished with a beaded neck and back that’s elegant and graceful!
The Groom’s Tuxedo: Luxury Tux
Luxury Tux is a tuxedo company in Orlando, Florida that offers premium, high-end tuxedo rentals. They offer elegant tuxedos in a variety of styles and colors from recognized designers like Michael Kors, Jean Yves, Allure Men, Ike Behar and more. For this Italian wedding shoot our Groom donned a classic bow tie tuxedo in black.
Hair and Make-Up: Leandra Owens from Lo Glam
Lo Glam is a beauty company in Davenport, Florida founded by Leandra Owens, who is a professional makeup artist who specializes in bridal makeup, editorial, SFX, theatre makeup and everyday looks. In addition, Leandra has a team of highly skilled hairstylists. Lo Glam artists use long-lasting, high-quality beauty products to leave you glowing and feeling renewed.
Our bride, Whitney showed off a bold dark lip and a stunning updo for the first half of the shoot. And a more relaxed look with her hair down for the second half.
Cake Artist: Perla’s Custom Cakes
Perla’s Custom Cakes is a cake design company in Tampa, Florida. The owner, Perla is a highly-skilled pastry chef graduate from the Art Institute of Tampa. She specializes in wedding cakes, beautiful custom cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, and other sweets. For this Italian wedding styled shoot she made a gorgeous and delicious marble cake with lavender and gold details that perfectly went with the theme.
Wedding Classic Car: Cole’s Classic Cars
Cole’s Classic Cars is a family-owned and operated classic car rental company serving Central Florida with the mission to provide customers with luxurious automobiles for special events and occasions. They have a variety of cars including antique, exotic, racing and special interest automóviles from the ’20s up till now.
For this styled Casa Feliz wedding, Cole’s Classic Cars provided us with an insanely gorgeous 1947 Cadillac convertible in a delicate light cream color and a breathtaking wine red colored interior. The Cadillac served as the perfect getaway ride for the couple!
Gelato Cart: Sweet City Gelato
Sweet City Gelato is a family-owned and operated company in Orlando, Florida. It all started with a trip to Europe. It led them to fall in love with the taste and texture of authentic gelato. Today, Sweet City Gelato prides itself on making gelato and sorbetto from scratch using only the freshest ingredients.
During my time studying abroad in Italy, I remember seeing gelato shops and carts in almost every corner everywhere I went. And I didn’t mind at all I started a new thing, “the gelato of the day”. Gelato is a big part of the Italian culture and Sweet City Gelato’s cart was the perfect, most delicious addition that brought the entire Italian wedding styled shoot together.
Wedding Invitation Suite: Basic Invite
Basic Invite is a stationery company where you will find the perfect card for every event including holidays, birthdays, graduation, baby, business cards, weddings and so much more. Their stationery is fully customizable and available in over 180 colors. For this wedding, Basic Invite provided a gorgeous, modern lucite and geometric invitation suite and place cards.
Models: Whitney and Ray Watts
Whitney and Ray are models in Windermere, Florida. They are an actual married couple, their chemistry throughout the shoot made that evident. It was important for me to have a real couple. I wanted this styled shoot to be as close as possible to an actual wedding.
