This gorgeous venue was the perfect setting for their joyful micro wedding, filled with heartfelt moments, bursts of color, and so much love from family and friends.
What is a Micro Wedding? 3 Ways to Know if it’s Right for You

Carla & Graham’s Love Story
Carla and Graham first met through mutual friends at State Street Eating House in Sarasota while out with friends, and the connection was immediate. That marked the start of their relationship, that continued over long distance for a while, which only strengthened their connection. They traveled frequently to see one another, and very early on, they both knew this relationship was something special and they began to have conversations about their future together.
In July 2024, Graham proposed during a trip to Maryland to visit his family. While staying in a beautiful beach town on the coast, he surprised Carla before dinner one evening by leading her onto a quiet dock overlooking the water. After the proposal, they reunited with both of their families to celebrate together.

The Ringling Museum Wedding Venue
A wedding at The Ringling Museum is unlike anywhere else in Florida. With its breathtaking architecture, lush grounds, waterfront views, and European-inspired design, it’s easy to see why so many couples consider it one of the best wedding venues in the state.
Carla and Graham chose The Ringling Museum of Art wedding venue because it perfectly blended the two things they loved most: stunning architecture and natural beauty. The beautiful courtyards, dramatic archways, and tropical surroundings created a setting that felt elegant while still remaining warm and inviting.
Every corner of the property photographs beautifully, which is one of the reasons couples are consistently drawn to The Ringling museum. From romantic portraits by the light pink exterior to timeless imagery against the museum’s iconic architecture, the venue offers endless opportunities for creating unforgettable memories and stunning The Ringling museum wedding photos.
For couples considering a John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art wedding, Carla and Graham’s celebration perfectly showcases why it is one of the most breathtaking and unforgettable wedding venues in Florida.

The Ringling Museum Wedding
The couple exchanged vows outdoors under an arched, covered patio area of The Ringling Museum of Art. Their celebration embraced a colorful palette with Carla’s bouquet featuring soft romantic hanging florals of light pink and white, intermixed with brighter orange and light blue blooms, creating a look that felt organic and refined all at once. The bridesmaids wore dresses in light pinks, pale green, and blue, adding more color to their wedding look.

Carla and Graham planned a more intimate micro wedding, which was incredibly sweet and emotional. There were many happy tears shed throughout the celebration, and it was impossible not to feel the love surrounding them.
One of the most touching moments of the day was Carla’s first look with her father. It was such a heartfelt and emotional exchange, as these first look moments often are. Another meaningful detail was their bilingual ceremony. Carla’s parents and other members of her family only speak Spanish so they had their ceremony officiated in both English and Spanish in order to ensure everyone felt included. This thoughtful choice made the experience feel even more personal and welcoming for everyone in attendance.

A Reception at the Place Where It All Began
Following their ceremony, the celebration continued at State Street Eating House, which is where Carla and Graham first met. Choosing to host their reception at the place where it all began was extra special and such a full-circle moment. What began as a casual evening out with friends, became the place where they celebrated the beginning of their marriage surrounded by the people they love most.

The evening was filled with incredible food, music, and laughter. It was a celebration bursting with color, alive with music, and full of love.
Congratulations, Carla and Graham!
