Congratulations, Blair and Chris! The newlyweds hosted a gorgeous Palma Ceia Country Club Christmas inspired wedding. We all felt the magic of the holidays as they tied the knot and celebrated. I love that Blair and Chris chose to celebrate the next chapter of their life with something else that means so much to them – Christmas. The entire day just felt so wintery and perfect.
Their Love Story
Blair and Chris are both physical therapists. They met while they were in school together, working on their Doctorate degrees. During their first set of exams, Blair and Chris started chatting while the class went to get drinks at American Social after their testing. Blair found out Chris did an amazing job on his test and she immediately asked for his number. Chris jokes he didn’t know why she did: “First, due to my exquisite charm and 6.5/10 or average good looks; Or second, to use me for my grades… obviously it was for the first option.”
Not long after that, Chris made the move to Tampa and took a job he wasn’t even sure about. But, everything has worked out for them both. They’ve built incredible friendships and have each other now, too. Being in school together has truly been a bonding experience for them both – as they’ve gone through the same moments of joy and struggle.
Their Proposal
On July 16, 2021, Blair and Chris made their engagement official. Chris proposed outside the convention center in Tampa, FL and surprised Blair with both of their families afterwards. They were across the water at American Social, waiting for a surprise dinner! It was so sweet – and a perfect way to celebrate their history.
Christmas Inspired Wedding
Blair and Chris actually booked the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club before she and Chris were even engaged because they knew they wanted to be married there and to have a holiday wedding. I LOVE it when couples know exactly what they want from their wedding day like that! Throughout the day, Blair and Chris leaned into the emerald green, red, and white color scheme of the holidays. In fact, Blair actually cried when they got to see the reception room because her Christmas wedding day dreams had come to life! It truly was beautiful. I absolutely adored their bridesmaids’ Burgundy velvet gowns and Christmas inspired bouquets. Seriously, everything came together perfectly!!
Palma Ceia Country Club Wedding Day
One of the moments I loved during Blair and Chris’s wedding day was their first look. During their first look, they read their vows to each other. It was so special and beautiful. It’s a nice way to have a private moment on a busy day. What stood out to me, though, was that even though Chris and Blair had this sweet moment, their emotions still ran high during their ceremony. Chris cried watching Blair walk down the aisle, and reminded me that first looks absolutely do not take away from the emotion of your wedding day! Blair and Chris also planned for a private last dance, which was really emotional for them too. I absolutely adore when couples do this. It’s a wonderful way to end a full day. The final nod to holidays was a Christmas bells exit, too, which was amazing!!
Chris and Blair, I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together… and lots of beautiful Christmas anniversaries!
