Madison and Anthony are married! This winter, they hosted an intimate Red Mesa Events wedding in St. Petersburg FL and I had the honor of being their wedding photographer. Madison and Anthony are some of the coolest people I know and I have loved working with them throughout their wedding planning and big day. This holiday inspired wedding was intimate and perfect for two people who love Hallmark movies at Christmas. I can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful details they planned!
Their Love Story and Proposal
Madison and Anthony met years ago while at work. They found themselves getting close quickly – and things between them were pretty serious right away. In December 2023, Anthony proposed to Madison. The day he bought her ring home, he told Madison not to come out while he moved her “Christmas present” inside. He even brought a big box to throw her off! Meanwhile, he was actually talking to her dad asking for permission in the freezing cold. The next day, he proposed under the guise of opening their Christmas presents early before the trip they were taking. Of course, Madison (who loves Christmas) couldn’t wait to exchange gifts. Anthony got down on one knee, and in an intimate proposal at home, he asked Madison to marry him!
Intimate Christmas Wedding at Red Mesa Events
For these Christmas lovers, a winter wedding just days before the holidays was the perfect choice. Madison and Anthony kept their event small, about 25 guests – and their wedding at Red Mesa Events felt more like a family reunion than a major event. It was a beautiful atmosphere and I am so appreciative of how welcoming and kind their families were to me! Madison and Anthony did a beautiful job of balancing the holiday vibes of their wedding with elegant accents and decor. The Christmas undertones were so subtle – including a palette of deep red, green accents, and gold decor, but gorgeous nonetheless. They played Christmas music during dinner, and I loved the elegant holiday accents they placed throughout the reception space.
Winter Wedding Details in St. Petersburg Florida
Two of my favorite details of the day were Madison’s dress and their wedding cake! Madison chose a gorgeous gown that had an elegant floral embroidered overlay with pops of red and green, again bringing their holiday theme into her attire. It was as vibrant as this beautiful woman is! She’s such a fun bride. The same colors were echoed in her bouquet and Anthony’s boutonniere. They also chose a wedding cake that was perfect for the holiday season! Decorated with a variety of green Christmas trees and gold accents, it was a delicious nod to their favorite holiday and the grandeur of a wedding day.
Elegant and Personalized Wedding at Red Mesa Events
Madison and Anthony kept things small and intimate, and with that in mind, their best friend became an ordained minister who was able to marry them. It was so special – and a great moment for all of them! Madison and Anthony also chose to exchange their own private vows during their first look at one of the museums in St. Pete. I love first looks, especially when couples choose to exchange vows quietly together. Those are always beautiful moments for them – and me! Additionally, Madison and Anthony leaned into what was important for them at their reception too. Beyond the elegant decor, they had a live painter – which was high on their list of priorities.
