Congratulations, Jessica and Dustin! To celebrate their upcoming wedding, we met up at the gorgeous Ringling Museum in Sarasota FL for a stunning engagement session celebrating their love story. Jessica and Dustin shared that they might need some extra help posing or getting comfortable in front of the camera, but I think they were naturals. Their fun and silly energy was shining throughout our session and I had the best time exploring the property with them, capturing their Ringling engagement session!

Inspiration for Ringling Museum Engagement Sessions

From the start of our planning, Jessica and Dustin knew that they wanted to have their engagement photos at the Ringling Museum. I don’t blame them. It’s truly a gorgeous property – that combines the original owner’s love of Italy, art, and Sarasota FL. This isn’t my first session here (see other engagement portraits here). But, I love every time I get to work at this venue. There’s always something new to capture with my couples. So, I’m thrilled that Jessica and Dustin wanted to spend the day exploring the museum grounds with me.

We walked through the gardens, with the dramatic fountain – and of course, spent time among the pink walls of the building. Jessica picked the perfect dress for this building! But most of all, I really enjoyed the chance to get to know Jessica and Dustin more. It’s one of my favorite parts of any engagement session. Spending time with my couple, without all the beautiful chaos that a wedding day brings, is special to me. I’m being trusted with some of their most important memories and knowing who my couple is when I’m not around is the best way for me to learn how to capture their love story. For Jessica and Dustin, that meant highlighting their silliness and flirty natures!

Elegant Outfits for Tampa Engagement Photos 

Jessica and Dustin planned two beautiful outfits for their engagement session at the museum. Jessica chose the prettiest pink spring dress, which paired perfectly with a pastel sandal. Thanks to the fact that we were walking the grounds of the museum, she was able to wear her heeled shoes which were a fun and flirty accessory for her outfits. She had a similar pair of white heels with an adorable bow for her second outfit  – a little white dress – stunning for the bride to be!

Dustin wore a blue suit with a pale pink tie to match Jessica. Then, he pulled the tie off for a somewhat more casual look to pair with Jessica’s white dress. Both options looked amazing against the colors and architecture of the museum. Everything felt so elegant and elevated! I also love that their changes were simple, and allowed us to carry the same vibes the entire session easily.
