Andrea and Ricky are married! Honestly, their wedding day felt so warm and like a big celebration of love. Somehow, I feel like I’ve known the bride and groom forever and their wedding day only extended that feeling. They planned a romantic and intimate Red Mesa Cantina wedding day for their closest family and friends on the rooftop. Everything was beautiful and just perfect for these two – and I can’t wait for you to see it all!

Intimate Brunch Wedding
From the start, Andrea and Ricky knew they wanted a small, intimate wedding day. They had less than 50 guests, including her family who came from Nicaragua, for their brunch celebration on the rooftop of Red Mesa Cantina. The newlyweds chose to have a bilingual celebration and ceremony. It was so sweet and I love that they honored those parts of their story!

Bright Color Palette for St. Pete FL Wedding
Everything for Andrea and Ricky’s celebration took place on the rooftop of Red Mesa Cantina, a wonderful restaurant in St. Pete FL. It overlooks downtown St. Petersburg, and it was the perfect spot for their micro wedding. Andrea carried a bouquet of bright yellow and orange flowers, colors that were echoed in their ceremony and reception details. I loved the gold ceremony arbor – the fun geometric shapes were a twist on the classic arbor!! Andrea and Ricky truly brought some unique decor to their celebration.

Andrea and Ricky
Andrea and Ricky met while they were in undergrad in Fort Myers in 2014, where they were both orientation guides. Through that job, they spent a lot of time together and their friendship grew very organically. During a trip to Puerto Rico with some friends, Andrea and Ricky had a chance to connect and truly get to know each other. It was on that trip that Ricky actually confessed how much he loved her! They began to officially date through the rest of their schooling.
During graduate school, they went to two different states and maintained a long-distance relationship that they felt made their love even stronger! Ricky’s proposal took place in February 2020, right before the COVID craziness began! While they were with friends at an orientation brunch event, everyone was playing a “most likely” game. When the category of “most likely to get married” came up, everyone said Andrea and Ricky. When they went to get their award, Andrea hugged her friend and when she turned around, Ricky was on one knee! It was SO sweet – and definitely very them.
Congratulations again, Andrea and Ricky. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your beautiful wedding day. I loved every minute with you two and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness in the future!!
