One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer in Tampa, Florida is the diversity we have. I love the cultures that I get to experience through your weddings, and the traditions that I get to learn from. One that I recently got to experience was at Subhadeep and Lauren’s vibrant Tampa Indian wedding. It was a beautiful union between two wonderful people, and made my heart swell. You will never believe how much rich tradition was packed into this micro wedding!

Indian Wedding Vibrant Color Palette

This Indian Wedding in Tampa was lively and vibrant! Although it was a micro wedding and very simple, it was packed with rich colors. The color palette centered around the color red. Red signifies new beginnings and passion, so it is often used in traditional Indian weddings. So, it was perfect for this Tampa Indian wedding day. To accompany the red, yellows and white were paired to create the most elegant micro wedding.

Floral Design

The floral design at this Indian wedding in Tampa was stunning! Because it was a micro wedding there were not an abundance of florals, but they were all breath taking and one of a kind. The bride’s bouquet was lush with greenery falling to the floor and bright florals on top. All the flowers were a combination of bright red carnations and yellow roses, with small white flowers to create a beautiful contrast. The floral design throughout the entire micro wedding was absolutely perfect!

Ceremony Wedding Arch

The wedding arch was beautifully simple. I loved the modern shape with the softness of white drapes wrapped around the arch. Something that took this look over the top was the white twinkle lights wrapped around the arch in the white drapes. It brought a magical element to this micro wedding that really made a statement! I also love how they incorporated the vibrant florals to continue the color palette throughout the wedding.

Tampa Indian Wedding Dress

Many Indian brides choose to be married in red because of the significance of the color and the meaning that is associated with it. Lauren’s dress had a full red skirt with white embroidered flowers flowing up to the bodice. The top of the dress was a beautiful golden yellow with additional embroidery. It paired perfectly with her skirt and saree.

A saree is a traditional piece of clothing that Lauren chose to incorporate into her wedding. It is a long piece of cloth that can be worn in a number of ways. Lauren chose to wear her Indian wedding saree on the top of her heads with it draping over her shoulder and down her back. The edge of the saree was embroidered with intricate details, as well as having embroidered flowers that matched her skirt. It was a beautiful piece of the indian culture that I felt lucky to get to see in person.

Grooms Traditional Indian Wedding Apparel

Subhadeep wore an elegant traditional Indian wedding outfit. It was completely white and made from the most luxurious materials. I especially loved the gold and white beaded details on his coat’s buttons and collar. They really tied into Lauren’s dress and created a sense of cohesion. There were also details of embroidery at the end of the coats sleeves which were as subtle as they were extravagant.

Ring Warming Tradition

A beautiful tradition that was at this Indian wedding in Tampa was when the bride and groom passed around their wedding rings. Each person in their wedding held the couple’s wedding rings. This is referred to as a ring warming ceremony. The idea is that each guest “warms” the rings with prayer, bright wishes and good vibes! This is a great tradition that is easy to accomplish with a micro wedding!

Subhadeep and Lauren

Subhadeep and Lauren were such a kind and loving couple. It was really special to get to witness their love for each other and their commitment. The entire ceremony was absolutely beautiful and so elegant. It really was the perfect Indian wedding day for Subhadeep and Lauren. After the ceremony we had a dinner and the bride and groom invited me to sit with them. It was really special to get to join them and their closest friends and family!

Thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding day! I loved every moment of your ceremony and celebration and I wish you many blessings as you begin your new chapter in life as Husband and Wife. Much love! <3
