Coming out of the pandemic and the season of small, intimate wedding days, destination elopements are more popular than ever. As a destination wedding photographer, I have to admit: I’m not mad about it! I recently attended Britt Jones Co.’s Parisian workshop and we photographed a gorgeous intimate elopement right in Paris. Our couple, Emy and Jordan, had a dream elopement in the city of light. With a vintage car, views of the Eiffel Tower, and incredibly chic outfits, this elopement was truly beautiful. I’m so happy I was able to photograph this luxurious day!!

Romantic Parisian Wedding Gown
To help create the elegant feel for the day, our bride carried an all white bouquet with gorgeous white roses, ranunculus, and sweet pea that cascaded down. Emy wore a gorgeous Marchesa wedding gown with beading moving from the bodice into the skirt. It was paired with matching sleeves – I love that idea. Jordan wore a stylish white tuxedo jacket with black lapels and details. Paired with a simple white boutonniere, he and Emy were absolutely stunning along the Paris skyline throughout their elopement. I love how incredible they both looked alongside the vintage Citroen, too. Everything about this day felt SO elegant!!
Wedding Portraits at Paris Landmarks
After their elopement ceremony was over, Emy and Jordan were transported to some of Paris’ most famed locations including Avenue de Camoens, Seine River, and Pont Alexandre III. We photographers were lucky to capture this beautiful couple alongside some of the most famous monuments in the world! Together, they cozied up along the river with the Eiffel Tower in the background and they looked so happy! When planning a destination wedding, be sure to build in lots of time for portraits at the landmarks or important parts of the location of the event.
Reception Wedding Dress on the River Seine
Their second look for the night was perfect for their river reception. The entire look felt more playful (and chic). Emy’s reception dress was a short champagne piece with more beading and feather pieces for texture, from Marchesa. She kept her updo and fun white floral earrings from her wedding gown for the celebration in the evening. Jordan changed into a black suit jacket for a second look – reminded us all of James Bond!
River Seine Wedding Reception
Our newlyweds ended the night on the Seine River, during a private floating reception! Emy and Jordan were able to snuggle up and enjoy the sights of Paris with a bottle of champagne and each other. It was the perfect way to end their night!
For couples dreaming about a romantic destination elopement, we hope that this styled elopement inspires you to plan the day of your dreams! Smaller celebrations are a wonderful vessel to bring luxurious and elegant ideas to life. Check out another recent international elopement on the blog, too!
